1. Service

GradLens (“we”, “us”) provides two AI-powered tools for thesis students: Thesis Supervisor Finder and Literature Review & Proposal Builder. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use GradLens. By using the service, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Payments & Refunds

The Thesis Supervisor Finder is a one-time purchase of €24.99 and includes 3 searches. The Literature Review & Proposal Builder is a monthly subscription at €17.99/month, billed via Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your account page; access continues until the end of your current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use GradLens to:

  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our underlying models or data
  • Submit content that is illegal, abusive, or violates third-party rights
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or authentication

5. AI-Generated Content

GradLens uses AI (Claude by Anthropic) to generate output including professor match explanations, outreach emails, and literature synthesis. All output is provided for informational purposes. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before using or sending it. GradLens does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any output.

6. Data & Privacy

Your CV is deleted immediately after each run and is never stored. We do not sell your data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy. GradLens is hosted on EU infrastructure (Frankfurt) and complies with GDPR.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit (CV, research topics). GradLens retains ownership of its platform, code, and design. Output generated by the AI during your session belongs to you; we do not claim rights to it.

8. Limitation of Liability

GradLens is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
